Obituary for Patricia A. (Sellers) Coffman

Patricia A. (Sellers) Coffman of Canonsburg, PA formerly of Waynesburg, PA died Saturday, March 17, 2018 following a lengthy illness in her home under her family’s care. She was surrounded by her loving family when she passed. Patricia was born on April 22, 1940, in Moundsville, WV. She was a graduate of West Virginia University School of Nursing with a B.S. in nursing and worked as a nurse and Nursing Educator at West Virginia University Medical Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed many activities, including family cookouts, researching her family tree, being involved in her book club and having her grandchildren and grand-nieces and grand-nephews around.She was a devout member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, PA and was actively involved with the United Methodist Women’s group until her illness made it too difficult to travel. On May 14th, 1975 she married Henry S. Coffman, who passed away on May 9, 2003. She is survived by her three daughters, Dr. Julieanne Watters and husband Joe Gonzaga of Canonsburg, PA, Debra Coffman of Denver, CO and Lisa Swaney of Uniontown, PA. Her grandchildren include Elizabeth Gordon of Denver, CO, Bill Swaney of Uniontown, PA and Alex and Emma Gonzaga of Canonsburg, PA; great-grandchildren include Sarah-Ann and Ashlyn Gordon, Alex, Tyler and Trinity Swaney. She is also survived by her sister Beulah E. Davis of Cape Coral, FL and brother Dudley Sellers, Jr. of Lakeland, FL and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA 15370 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 22, 2018 with Rev. William Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 Burial will be in Greene Co. Memorial Park, Morgan Twp., PA 15370.
